Following a successful pilot program in September 2022, Yara International ASA and BuyCo have agreed to extend their partnership with BuyCo to optimize Yara’s container operations worldwide. This includes operations in Asia, Europe, South America, North America and Africa. Today, Yara International ASA has global shipping operations which counts for +50K annual containers worldwide, making them a part of the world's top 15 container carriers. Based on their requirements, Yara was looking for a global transport management system (TMS) to streamline and standardize their global shipping operations.
Yara’s requirement to move away from manual operations, digitize data exchanges, and manage end-to-end shipping processes on a single platform, was the key selling point for selecting BuyCo as their new TMS provider. With Yara’s global production setup, BuyCo emerged as the ideal solution and a perfect match with access to ocean contracts, real-time sailing schedules for all shipping lines, digital solutions, upload of shipping instructions / VGM with a complete visibility over the maritime supply chain.
“BuyCo’s solutions will support us in our digitalization journey by implementing one single tool to manage our container operations. This includes making the processes more efficient, improving data quality and transparency and enhancing our reporting capabilities. Additionally, BuyCo offers CO2 emission reporting features in their platform which will support Yara in achieving its sustainability objectives” says Angelo Biancardi, VP Yara Maritime Logistics
